SAP AppHaus TechX - Where Technology Meets Experience!

Extentia, a Merkle company and a proud member of the SAP AppHaus Network since 2019, successfully hosted the SAP AppHaus TechX event on July 10, 2024, themed: Where Technology Meets Experience.  

 

This experience-led event, held at Extentia’s SAP AppHaus in Pune, focused on Design Thinking, Innovation, and AI. It provided a platform for engaging discussions on making organizations future ready. Emphasizing the convergence of technology, design thinking, and AI, the event highlighted Extentia’s holistic approach to understanding and solving business challenges while maintaining an unwavering focus on customer experience.  

 

The presence of industry leaders, including SAP AppHaus ambassadors Birgit Fien-Schmalzbauer (Global Head of SAP AppHaus Partner Network) and Thomas Biedermann (Regional SAP AppHaus Network Partner Lead APJ Region), along with the exploration of AI's transformative impact on business processes, made the event an enriching experience for all attendees.  

 

The event began with a warm welcome by Umeed Kothavala (CEO, Extentia), and Birgit Fien-Schmalzbauer highlighting the importance of what the SAP AppHaus Network is all about. Their insightful introductions set the tone for the day, as they elaborated on the vision and mission of the SAP AppHaus Network.  

 

The event progressed with an engaging session on AI's transformative potential, featuring presentations from Arijit Mallick (Manager Tech Capabilities, Extentia), Balaji Balakrishnan (Senior Development Manager, Merkle), and Ramanjaneyulu Mangala (SAP Solutions Architect, Merkle). They showcased Proof of Concepts (PoCs) built on SAP Commerce/ SAP BTP, illustrating AI's significant impact on business processes.  

 

Participants then engaged in a hands-on Design Thinking workshop led by Extentia’s Experience team. This session provided practical insights into solving complex business challenges through innovative approaches, giving attendees a taste of Extentia’s workshop offerings and creative problem-solving methods.  

 

The afternoon segment witnessed a session where an SAP BTP customer shared his success story, highlighting how the collaboration with Extentia and the AppHaus methodology helped in solutioning. This was followed by a thought-provoking panel discussion on "How AI Accelerations and Data-Driven Insights are Facilitating Customer Experiences." The panel featured esteemed participants including Pradnya Salvekar (VP, Delivery - Extentia), Thomas Biedermann (Regional SAP AppHaus Network Partner Lead (APJ)), Sanjay Joshi (Head of IT, Parle) and Balaji Balakrishnan, who explored the role of AI and data-driven insights in enhancing customer experiences.  

 

Birgit Fien-Schmalzbauer concluded the event with closing remarks, summarizing key takeaways and emphasizing the importance of innovation and customer-centricity in today’s technology landscape.
